Hello, I am Tara Neifer, welcome to OSTEO in MOTION!
I am a new Manual Osteopathic Practitioner to Sooke. But you might recognize me from one of my many yoga classes, or as a swim coach or intructor at the SEAPARC.
My approach to Manual Osteopathy, is to blend my love for movement exploration and self-lead massage to the care I bring. This focus on movement helps to integrate and complete the treatments, facilitates a better understanding of our bodies and their areas of concern.
Private/ Semi Private Yoga is also available at this location.
I provide an assessment that includes manual muscle testing, as injury, pain and scaring can deeply affect how muscles are preforming based on their brain connectivity. I am now a Level 2 Neurokinetic Therapist (NKT), which equips me with a protocol to understanding relationsships of under or over working muscles.
In treatment, I am quite structural in my approach and less subtle than other osteo's you may have seen. You can expect, specific joint and myofascial mobilization, but also global oscillations, stretching and muscle activations.
I am located in the Goodlife Wellness building in Sooke, BC. Please wear comfortable light clothing, preferably shorts.
