Hi am a Tara, and a new Manual Osteopathic Practitioner to Sooke. You might recognize me from one of my many yoga classes, or as a swim coach/instructor at the SEAPARC.
My approach to Manual Osteopathy is to blend my love for movement exploration and self-lead massage to the care I bring. This focus on movement helps to integrate and complete the treatments, facilitates a better understanding of our bodies and their areas of concern.
In my assessment I include Neurokinetic Therapy. This protocol around manual muscle testing help us understand how injury, pain and scaring can affect how muscles activate based on their brain connectivity.
In treatment, I am quite structural in my approach. You can expect local and global oscillations, joint, muscle and facial mobilization. Also specific soft tissue releases, stretching and muscle activations and integration exercises.
I am located in the Goodlife Wellness building in Sooke, BC. Private/ Semi Private Yoga is also available at this location.
